FAQ's

1. Can bad credit be eliminated from my credit reports?

That depends on whether the bad credit item is legitimately yours. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act you have the right to dispute any credit information that is suspicious, not yours, inaccurate etc.  If the company reporting the bad credit does not respond to your inquiry within 30 days the Credit Bureau must delete it.  Don’t get your hopes up to though because while electronic communication is becoming faster and more accurate, it is more likely that authentic bad credit information (credit information that is really yours) will be updated to correctly reflect your history.  In that case, a strategy to rectify and negotiate this bad credit information is necessary and Consumerwarfare will teach you how.

2. Will bad credit items remain for 7 years?

Not always.  The law says that negative credit can remain on your report for no more than 7 years.  However, any creditor or collection agency may remove that information at any time themselves prior to the end of seven years.  Consumerwarfare will tell you how to explore that possibility.

3. Will paying off my delinquent accounts increase my score?

Probably not.  In some cases it can make it worse but you need to know when. The fact that any delinquent collection accounts are reported have already harmed your report and score.  Paying off a delinquent account can not only lengthen the time this negative information is on your account but your score is virtually not affected positively either.  Consumerwarfare will share the best technique to managing any negative items specific to your report.

4. Can you trust credit repair companies?

There are some very reliable credit repair groups that can and do help you credibly.  However, there are many who are name and lead cultivators and make false and illegal claims through various marketing techniques.  Many will try to catch your eye by telling you they can wipe away all negative credit in a short period of time.  Some will say they can give you a new identity to avoid your true credit report.  Still some are downright dishonest through fraudulent means.

Consumerwarfare works personally with each individual and will be straight and truthful with you every step of the way.  Your information is highly confidential and never given to anyone.  Once you have reached your goal, Consumerwarfare, unlike many credit improvement organizations, will arm you with the knowledge you need to maintain your good credit.  It is in Consumerwarfare’s best interest to help as many consumers as possible  learn self sufficiency with their own credit history.
